Executive Director & 15 Purple Head Coach

Angelica Salinas is the Executive Director of Whiteout Volleyball Club and head coach of the 15 Purple team. She went to college at Santa Clara University where she was a D1 Coxswain for the Men’s Rowing team. Angelica has a background in education, has 10+ years of coaching experience, and has been nominated for Steamboat’s “Best of the Boat’s” best youth sport coach multiple times! Angelica has also coached for Steamboat Springs High School and Steamboat Springs Middle School. She also serves as the President of the Young Professionals Network board of directors and on the board of the Steamboat Sports Barn board of directors. Go Whiteout!

Colleen King

Admin Director & 17s Head Coach

Colleen King grew up in Steamboat Springs, CO, and played for Whiteout during the club’s first season! After playing at SSHS she continued on to play D1 at the University of Denver where she got recognitions as All-Conference and was an All-American Honorable Mention. After college, Colleen played professionally overseas for 3 seasons in Czechia, England, and Spain. She now competes in beach doubles tournaments. Colleen has several years of coaching experience and is excited to coach the 17’s Whiteout Team this year. 
Jake Goneli

Head Coach 15 Purple

Jake grew up in the Austin, TX, area and began playing volleyball in high school and continued to play club volleyball at Texas State University for four years before graduating and moving to Steamboat. While playing in college, Jake was voted captain of the team two years in a row, and his team finished as the top men’s collegiate club team in the Southern Region.  Jake has more than eight years of experience working with youth ranging from coaching to leading overnight trips. After being an assistant coach last year with the Whiteout 18’s team, he is excited to lead his own team this season!

Peyton Helsen

Peyton Helsen

Head Coach 14 Purple

Peyton grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she started playing volleyball in the 5th grade. She played 4 years of high school and club volleyball, and spent her summers playing in beach volleyball tournaments along the lakeshore with her twin sister. After graduation, she went on to play 2 additional years of volleyball at Grand Rapids Community College, and then transferred to Kendall College of Art and Design to study Interior Design. She has coached club teams in Michigan and also assisted the Varsity Volleyball team at her High School for a couple of seasons. She is excited to coach again, and can’t wait for the upcoming season!

Lauren Fullerton

14s Silver Head Coach

Lauren was born in Steamboat Springs but grew up overseas until high school where she started playing volleyball under Wendy Hall and one year of club volleyball for Angelica Salinas. Lauren was voted captain for three out of her four years of playing. Last year Lauren served as the Head Coach of our Development Program and is excited to coach 14s this year.

 

Madi Owen

Head Coach 13s Silver

Madi grew up in Steamboat Springs where she started playing volleyball in middle school. She fell in love with the sport and continued playing for the SSHS team, Whiteout and in summer sand leagues throughout high school. After school, Madi moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her love for hospitality; while there she joined a sand volleyball league in Santa Monica. Upon her return to Steamboat, she continued playing sand volleyball in the city’s summer league. Madi is thrilled to be a part of Whiteout again and is excited to mentor her players with the same compassion, support and guidance she received as a Whiteout player.
